如同宮崎駿往常的動畫一般，「貓的報恩」同樣是一部極不尋常的奇幻動畫，雖然背地裡還是有濃濃的宮崎駿式哲學，但看起來似乎不是由宮崎駿所繪製的，不過他依然是幕後監製，根據官方可靠消息所提供的資料，整部片是由宮崎駿企劃、森田宏幸所執導。
蠻喜歡一開始淡淡的氣氛，猶記得貓王子站起來跟小春說話時，小春出現的驚訝表情，好讓人感同身受呀！會讓人看得很舒服的現實與奇幻交織，多麼吸引人呀！手繪的那種華麗細緻，還有整部影片的分鏡和腳本，滴兒全都很喜歡，中意那種人生中奇遇的感覺，追尋那段若有似無但卻令人懷念的昔日回憶，擬人化的貓王國，有些趣味，也有很多的不可思議，不過雖然很炫麗，會有讓人想要暫住一段時間的衝動，但我想自己最終還是同樣會選擇回到現實世界吧！整體來說，七顆星的強力推薦，喜歡溫馨和奇幻，必定會特別喜歡，記得喔！仔細觀賞必定可以觸動內心深處的共鳴！
